Our Podiatrists use several treatment approaches to try and eliminate unsightly verruca's, giving you the confidence to go barefoot and enjoy your visits to the gym and spa again.

Verruca are a highly contagious viral lesion which infects the outer layer of the skin known as the epidermis. It cleverly mimics normal skin cells which makes it difficult for the body to detect which is why they can stay in situ for several years.

Verrucae are caught when the skin is compromised by a cut or scrape, and are usually spread in communal areas such as swimming pools, showers and athletic facilities. Verrucae tend to be more common in children than adults.

Our Podiatrists are all trained in a variety of different verruca treatments and will conduct a thorough Initial Podiatry Consultation to determine the most appropriate course of treatment based on your presentation and medical history.

Benefits of our treatments

  • To provoke an immune response from the body to get rid of your verruca's so you don’t have to hide your feet away anymore.
  • Reduce pain caused by the verruca lesion to get you back to the activities you love.
  • Prevent further spread to friends or family members.

  • Verrutop
Verrutop is a new type of wart treatment. Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue. Instead, it denatures the viral protein and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath. Treatment is normally quick and painless. Up to 6 treatments are advised

  • Swift (83%)

New To Our Clinic

Now in our clinic is Swift Microwave Therapy. It uses microwave energy delivered to the skin through a probe applied to the affected tissue. The microwaves align the water molecules found within the skin, doing so causing collisions, thus generating heat energy within the verrucae/wart, to a depth of 5mm below the skin.

Most people are eligible for swift microwave therapy with a few exceptions. Our podiatrists will discuss the best treatment plan during your appointment.

With patients reporting pain relief from the first treatment to visual improvements and/or complete resolution after the recommended course of 3 sessions.
