Hyaluronic Acid Injection

SAFE, PRECISE, AND EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR TARGETED RELIEF OF JOINT PAIN, STIFFNESS, AND INFLAMMATION.

How Does It Work?

Hyaluronic acid injection is used to treat arthritic joints by helping to restore the natural lubrication within joints that have become stiff and less mobile. In conditions such as osteoarthritis, the synovial fluid inside the joint can lose its ability to cushion and protect the cartilage that lines the bones. As a result, the joint may become painful, swollen, and increasingly worn over time. Hyaluronic acid works by mimicking the body’s natural joint fluid, improving lubrication and cushioning to help the joint move more smoothly and comfortably again.

What To Expect

  • An ultrasound scan will be performed to identify the exact joint or structure requiring treatment.

  • The skin will be cleaned, and a small amount of local anaesthetic may be used for comfort.

  • Using live ultrasound guidance, the hyaluronic acid will be carefully injected into the joint space.

  • After the injection, your podiatrist will provide advice on aftercare, activity modification, and any follow-up required
